| detailed description | The Abaco Systems RES-210 is a standalone, fully managed Layer 2/3+ rugged Gigabit Ethernet switch designed to withstand extreme temperatures and harsh environments. Weighing under 4.5 lbs and occupying less space than an average shoebox, it is a popular choice for network architects designing for constrained environments such as small UAVs and similar SWaP-limited platforms. The RES-210 is fanless, conduction-cooled, and conformal coated, delivering 10 ports of 10/100/1000BaseTX with full IPv4/IPv6 Layer 2 and Layer 3 switching and routing. It is powered by a MIL-STD-704E (aircraft) or MIL-STD-1275B (ground vehicle) compliant power supply and is managed via Abaco's proprietary OpenWare switch management software. NOTE: The RES-210 entered Restricted Production Phase (RPP) on December 31, 2017. It is effectively end-of-life. Abaco recommends the RES3000 family as the current replacement.
