| detailed description | The Cisco IE-5000-12S12P-10G is a rack-mount, ruggedized managed industrial Ethernet switch providing Layer 2 and Layer 3 line-rate aggregation with copper Power over Ethernet (PoE) connectivity in harsh industrial environments. It features four 10 Gigabit Ethernet uplinks and 24 Gigabit Ethernet downlinks in a compact 1U chassis. The switch runs proven Cisco IOS Software and is highly secure and scalable for access and aggregation layer deployments. It supports Cisco stackable technologies for advanced network reliability and is manageable via Cisco Catalyst Center for software-defined IoT access extension. NOTE: End-of-Sale and End-of-Life has been announced for the IE 5000 Series. Cisco recommends the Catalyst IE9300 Rugged Series as the replacement product.
