The Kontron CERES-2402-PTP is a compact, embedded, rugged Ethernet switch specifically designed to build high-reliability networks for defense applications in harsh environments. It is a deployable 26-port (24x 1GbE + 2x 10GbE) fully managed Layer 2/Layer 3 non-blocking switch packaged in a compact, fanless, IP65-rated housing. Based on a Broadcom switch fabric with an integrated NXP QorIQ PowerPC management processor and embedded Fastpath Software, the CERES-2402-PTP delivers up to 44 Gbps of line-rate multi-layer forwarding with advanced network security, routing, QoS, and Precision Time Protocol (IEEE 1588v2) support. Its rugged, fanless design makes it highly resistant to shock and vibration while ensuring sustained performance across extended temperature environments. The optimized SWaP profile makes it suited for tactical edge deployments where space and power are constrained.
